Happy Wednesday friends!
Dare I say it?!? Spring is finally here! It's sunny and beautiful outside as I write this and the forecast looks good! Time to start cleaning and shuffling things around at home. I don't know about you, but for me this always means making some changes. What better way to do that then hitting an old piece of furniture with a fresh coat of paint?!?
Let's take a look at what'cha been working on, shall we?
First up this week is a beautifully restyled dresser by Penny. I'm a big fan of using two tones when it comes to furniture with great structural lines like this one:
I love the combination of white and grey paired with the original hardware! With these pretty neutral colours (Halo and Chivalry from our van Gogh Fossil paint collection) this piece will look great in any room! You did a great job on this Penny - thank you so much for sharing your project!
Here's a peak at the 'before'. You can see the wood veneer was a bit rough in a few places and even needed some small repair before painting, but can you believe this dresser was a $5 yard sale purchase?!? Tis the season my friends - get out there and find yourself a painting project, lol!
Next up this week is this funky little cabinet restyled by Linda using Zepplin grey from our van Gogh Fossil paint line. Here is a look at the 'before' and 'after':
This looks great Linda! Zepplin is one of my favourite 'go to' colours right now - everything just looks fantastic in Zepplin! Thank you so much for sharing these pictures with us!
Last up be definitely not least this week is this great little cabinet restyled by Christina. Unsure of what colour to use on this piece Christina entrusted the staff at our studio to help her choose this beautiful blue. We love consulting on colours and finishes so don't be shy in picking our brains when you're in the studio! Lots of customers bring in inspiration pictures of pictures of their home, even fabric samples and paint swatches . . . it's so fun to be able to customize a piece to really suit your home and decor!
This pretty blue looks great on this cabinet and the mild distressing and natural finish enhance the original character! Great job on this Christina - thank you for sharing your work with us!
Here is a look at the 'before' of this cabinet.
Thanks again for sharing your projects with us!
