Paint A Little, Leave A Little!

Hi & hello!

Today I’ll be sharing some tips on how to achieve a timeless twist for your furniture painting projects that is sure to make a statement…the “paint a little, leave a little” technique!

Sometimes, the original wood or graining of your piece is what makes it so unique—so why not accentuate it!

Here are a few ways you are able to achieve that WOW factor:

  1. Highlight The Drawer Fronts

Framing out your drawers with your favourite Mango Paint colour is a classic way to update your dressers, buffets, desks and bedside tables to make the beautiful pattern or texture of the original wood the star of the show!

2. Leave The Legs

This is one of our favourite ways to give your piece farmhouse or French country vibe…especially when painting your pieces with Sophia, Evelyn or Noah from the Mango Paint line. I mean, come on—how pretty!?

3. A Little Bit Of Everything!

Why not try leaving the inside of your china cabinet or hutch natural...or how about the original wood handles too?!

This is a easy way to give your painted pieces some extra depth and interest.

Brighten Up The Natural Wood With Beeswax!

Applying a touch of the Mango Paint Beeswax Furniture Finish is the BEST way to bring some life back to the original wood.

Not only is it our favourite product to use to seal your Mango Painted areas, but it is also perfect for re-hydrating the unpainted wood as well!

The “paint a little, leave a little” technique is our favourite way to not only add contrast to your painted furniture, and truly pay tribute to some of the original charm and character.

Which of these technique will you try first!?

Happy Painting!
