Wow - we've had a few nice sunny days in a row here! Don't you just love the magical powers of the sun? A few moments with the sun shining on your face can really lift your spirits . . .
With spring in the air I want to share with you two recent projects completed here at Mango Reclaimed. These pieces are beautiful and coral, coral, coral! Coral is one of my favorite colours right now - and that surprises even me! I never really thought of myself as a 'coral' kinda girl, typically loving the pale greys, blues and soft greens of water.
I've been playing with 'Apron Strings' from the Miss Mustard Seed's Milk paint line recently and am in love! Check out this beautiful accent chair:
This chair has an authentically weathered 'chippy lovliness' that can really only be achieved with milk paint. Some details:
Once I started, I couldn't stop - I wanted more coral! This mirror practically begged me to be prettied up in some nice light colours to restyle it from its original heavy dark finish (yes, on occasion furniture actually talks to me, lol). I chose a combination of 'Apron Strings' and 'Ironstone' for this mirror.
Here is a picture of the whole thing - it's difficult to photograph mirrors . . .always something distracting in the reflection. Any tips for me?
If you want to learn how to restyle with milk paint and it's authentically weathered lovliness, sign up for one of our Miss Mustard Seed's Milk paint workshops, I would love to meet you!
