This chair was restyled a while back and oh how I do miss her! This wooden desk chair on castors was the perfect match of comfort and style. The chair was pretty much bare wood when she arrived as most of the original finish had worn right off. I think the beautiful red 'Tricycle' in Miss Mustard Seed's Milk paint line was the perfect colour choice!

Once this chair had been painted and mildly distressed I covered the whole thing with hemp oil which enriched the colour and added some protection to the paint and the wood. Hemp oil is a beautiful, completely non-toxic and easy to use finish for any porous surface. It pairs perfectly with milk paint and can even be used to spruce up your tired looking wooden cutting boards . . . I used the hemp oil right over the cast iron gears and springs to really bring out the black.
