Don't love it just because it was your grandma's. . .

Hi there! I hope you had an excellent weekend!

A very big and very sincere thank you to everyone who made it out to see us at the Home, Garden and Decor Show in Ajax. Below are some of my thoughts about why you might want to restyle your furniture. I was lucky enough to share some of this on stage at the home show on Sunday. Thanks again to everyone who came out!

Ok, so why would you want to restyle your furniture? For me, there are many, many reasons. For starters, most of us own at least a few pieces of furniture that look something like this:

Previously loved, these pieces are now looking tired, dated and quite frankly a little bit sad.

Previously loved, these pieces are now looking tired, dated and quite frankly a little bit sad.

These pieces find their way into our homes because we have grown up with them, we brought them with us from our childhood, they have been passed down to us by loved ones, they fit our space, they hold our stuff, they 'work'. . .

The great news is that your furniture doesn't have to just 'work'. I want you to love the dresser that was your grandma's because it was grandma's, but I also want you to love the way it looks in your space. The way it makes you feel when you see it. The way it perfectly compliments your style.

Hence, the need to restyle:

The beauty of restyling your furniture is that you can keep the form, the function and the sentimental attachment - all you're doing is updating the look. . . and updating the look of your furniture can quickly change the look of your whole room.

A piece that used to be only loved for where it came from can now also be loved for how great it looks holding your favourite things

Restyling your furniture also gives you the opportunity to create something perfectly custom, perfectly 'you' for your space . . .

If you have something you would like to restyle. Contact us to find out how.

Happy Tuesday!
