If you've driven across Wentworth St. in Whitby recently - you may have seen us from the road. We're on the north side just east of Thickson Rd. . . I just love how our string lights make the space feel so festive!
A few details from inside the studio.
Hard to believe it looked like this less than two months ago . . . we sure have come a long way!
Stop in and say hello if you're in the area! Check out our hours and location here.
In other news we had another great workshop on the weekend! Students learned about painting techniques and got to work hands on with all of the products in the Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint collection.
Milk paint comes in powder form and can be mixed different ways to create different looks (it can be mixed as a stain or wash, or mixed as a paint). Sample boards were made while we covered various ways to mix the paint as well as distressing and finishing techniques. Workshops are a great opportunity to try out colours and layering before you tackle a larger project at home - plus it's a nice way to spend an afternoon and an opportunity to tap into your creative side.
This last picture sort of sums it up - we learned, played, let our creativity run wild, made a mess, and had a great time doing it. Thank you to the students who came out this weekend - I love sharing my space and knowledge with you!
