What'cha Workin' on Wednesday?!?

Happy Wednesday friends!

Let's take a look at what'cha been workin on, shall we?!?

Here is a super cute restyled dresser! Pat used van Gogh Patina to give this dresser a quick and pretty new look!

This little dresser was picked up from our showroom 'as is' and Pat did a great job giving it new life! Thanks for sharing Pat!

Here's a look at the dresser 'before':

Laurie's storage bench was also restyled with our van Gogh paints and it went from drab to fab!

After taking a workshop here at our studio Laurie went home and tackled this project full on! It looks great - thank you for sharing!

Here's a look at Laurie's storage bench 'before':

Last but not least this week are two super cute side tables restyled by Colin. Take a look at these cuties:

Colin used van Gogh 'Chalk' white on both of these tables to give then a fresh new look! The drum table was given a dark stain to the top for contrast and the two-tier table was given a pop of bright van Gogh blue for a more playful look.

Great job Colin! Thank you for sharing with us!

What'cha Workin on Wednesday?!?

Happy Wednesday!

Well we finally got some rain - and oh man did we ever!

The air is cooler today - it's what I would consider perfect painting weather :)

Let's take a look at what'cha been working on, shall we?

First up this week is a beautiful dresser restyled by Kristel. This dresser was purchased 'as is' from our inventory a while ago and has certainly been given a whole new look and life!  Kristel used Cashmere from our van Gogh paint line and Curio from our Miss Mustard Seed's Milk paint line to transform this dated dresser into a stunning sideboard for her dining room.

Beautiful job on this Kristel!

Here's a peek at what this dresser looked like when Kristel bought it . . .

Thank's for sharing Kristel! Your 10% discount is ready for you and valid for one month from today's post! Looking forward to seeing what you do next!

Next up this week is this cute and funky little table restyled by Andrea:

Andrea also used our van Gogh fossil paint to give this table a pop of colour on the base and an entirely fresh new look!

Here is a glimpse at the 'before':

Oooh! Just for fun Andrea also restyled another little side table . . . I mean, when you're in the zone, why stop, right?!?

Love it - great job Andrea!

Here's a look at this table 'before' (pretty sure I see a few more paint projects peaking into these before pictures too, lol!?!):

Thanks for sharing Andrea! Your discount is waiting for you!

Next up this week is another two-for-one project, although this time it's chairs! Christina used our van Gogh Zeppelin grey to give these two chairs a sweet new updated look:

And correct me if I'm wrong, but is that middle table painted with van Gogh as well?? Looks like Patina or River Tides to me!

Don't they look great?!? I mean, take a look at the 'before' to see just how great this transformation was!

Awesome work Christina!

Thank you for sharing!

Aha moments! {two-tier side tables}

This is the third post in a series called "Aha moments!"

In this series, we take all the guess work out of restyling furniture! We start by showing you a piece of furniture (or in this case a pair) that we have available in our studio inventory - and then we'll show you some similar pieces that have already been restyled to help get your creative juices flowing.

How fun is that?

This week we are showcasing these side tables:

So what could we do with these side tables?? Well we could paint them up really bright and cheerful so that they really make a statement! Look at these cuties we found over at Liz Marie Blog:

DSC_0406.JPG

This vibrant yellow would look great in a grey or white room! And this colour is so similar to 'Sunflower' yellow from our van Gogh fossil paint line - and also similar to 'Prairie Sunset' from our Fusion Mineral paint line!

If a rich and vibrant yellow isn't your thing - how about a more neutral palette with natural wood and a soft cream? Like this table we found over at Revolved Rubbish. I absolutely love how this one turned out with the natural wood stain on the top and bottom tiers!

Here's another table done with wood stained tops, but in a cleaner more classic look. This table was restyled by Miss Mustard Seed waaaay back in 2009! Still looks good today!

If you're looking to get a bit more adventurous with your tables, you could try something like these tables we found over at Nine Red. Why stop at just two-toned, when you can go three-toned and a chevron pattern, lol?!

The vibrant blue used on these looks just like 'van Gogh' blue!

Ok, ok. I get that these might be a bit too 'out there' for most homes, but I think they would be great fun at a cottage!

Let's round up today's post with an example done in simple and classic white, like this restyled table we found over at Modern Home. I like the brass hardware and little capped feet! Such a classy looking table :)

Alright, so now that you can see this desk a few different ways - tell us which is your favourite?

Wasn't that fun? Ok, we want to know - if you were to restyle these two tiered tables (or have us do it for you), which style would you go with? Comment here on our blog or let us know on Facebook!
