What'cha Workin' on Wednesday?!?

Hi there friends!

How is your week going??

Shhhhh - I'm going to let you in on a secret . . . we're going to be having a pretty serious black friday sale this weekend on loads of 'as is' furniture at the studio! So if you're looking for a project or need a little something to get your creative juices flowing, be sure to visit us on Friday or Saturday this weekend! (more details to come)!

For now, lets take a look at what'cha been workin' on, shall we?!?

First up this week is a dining hutch painted by Kathy using our Fusion Mineral paint in 'Cranberry'.  Kathy joined us this past weekend for our first ever Holiday Maker's Day workshop - she spent a super fun Saturday painting and creating with us and went home with 4 beautiful holiday projects! We have a few spaces left in our upcoming workshops if you would like to join us - last chance before the holidays! Click here to see our schedule.

Back to Kathy's cabinet - Cranberry is such a great colour on this! Especially this time of year! Looks beautiful Kathy - nice job!

Here is a picture of Kathy's cabinet 'before'. . . I love how painting the inside of a cabinet in a lighter colour brightens the whole piece - and really lets you showcase your pretty display items!

Great job Kathy - thank you for sharing with us!

Next up this week are some great end tables painted by Colin. Colin used our van Gogh Fossil paint on these. All of them were painted in 'Chalk' white. The set of two tables with the shell details had an antique glaze applied and the hex shaped table had a natural and antique beeswax applied. Two great ways to really add some depth and beauty to the details of your painted pieces! Stop by our studio and we can show you how!

Here is a look at Colin's tables 'before' . . . quite dark and dated and as you can see they were definitely in need of a new look!

Great job (as always) Colin! Thank you so much for sharing with us!

Last up but certainly not least is a dresser restyled by Stephen. Stephen picked up this dresser 'as is' from our studio recently. He took it home and gave it a whole new look using our van Gogh Fossil paint in Pyjama Weather with a soft black beeswax finish - looks great Stephen!

Here is a look at his 'before' and 'after:

Great job Stephen - thanks so much for sharing with us!

And don't forget - if you are featured on our Wednesday blog you we will have a 10% discount waiting for you at the studio (valid for 30 days)! We don't always get to share pictures in the week that they are sent in, but we do hang on to them and try to share as many as we can because we love seeing your projects! It's so easy! All you have to do is e-mail your before and after pictures (or even just after pictures if that's all you have, lol) to: [email protected]

Can't wait to see what'cha workin' on next! Happy painting!

Oh! And don't forget super sweet deals on 'as is' furniture coming up this weekend! Stay tuned!

What'cha Workin' on Wednesday?!?

Happy Wednesday friends!

Wow - we have some beauties to share this week! And there seems to be a theme happening, lol. All of our shares this week include restyled pieces where our clever customers have painted out some of their piece and preserved the wood finish of other parts. Always a beautiful combination! Take a look and tell us what you think!

First up this week is a beautiful desk restyled by Vicki! The base of this desk looks black in the picture but is actually a really dark and rich blue called Artissimo from our Miss Mustard Seed's milk paint line. The top of this desk was sanded to the raw wood and then Vicki applied MMS Hemp Oil as a natural and stunning protective finish! Love how this turned out!!

What a beautiful job you did Vicki - thank you so much for sharing with us! LOVE the new 'cup pull' hardware too - nice finishing touch!

Next up this week is a bedroom set restyled by Jennifer. This set was gifted to Jennifer from her Grandfather and was her first attempt at restyling - I think she did a great job!

Jennifer used our Fusion Mineral paint in 'Champlain' to restyle the bases of her set and left the dresser and table tops just how they were. Take a look:

Here's a look at Jennifer's bedroom set 'before', it looks so much lighter and brighter now that it's been restyled!

Thanks for sharing Jennifer!

Next up this week is a stunning cabinet restyled by Jane!  I mean - wow, take a look!

This was a beautiful cabinet to begin with, but now that it's been restyled it has been taken to a whole new level! I LOVE how Jane chose to paint some areas using Fusion Mineral paint in 'Coal Black' and also chose to stain some areas with our Stain and Finishing Oil in 'Ebony'. Such a beautiful combination! Great job Jane - thank you so much for sharing your work with us (again, lol)!!

Here is a look at Jane's cabinet 'before':

What'cha Workin' on Wednesday?!?

Happy Wednesday friends!

Holy jumpin it's been hot this week! So this is fall . . . ??

Even though it's smokin hot today - temperatures are looking perfect this weekend for tackling some painting projects!

Let's take a look at what'cha been workin' on, shall we?

First up this week is a beautiful cabinet restyled by Debora using our van Gogh Fossil paint. This cabinet looks great with a 'Starry Night' exterior and 'Cashmere' interior! The soft 'Cashmere' really lightens up the interior of this piece! New hardware finishes off the new look!

Here's a look at Debora's cabinet before, a great piece but a little dark and dated looking for sure:

Great job Debora - thank you for sharing with us! (your discount is waiting, lol)

Next up this week is a bright and beautiful kitchen set shared with us by Janice a little while ago. This set looks so pretty in Fusion Mineral paint in a combination of 'Algonquin' and 'Limestone'! The whole set looks so fresh and inviting!

Here's a peak at Janice's table and chairs 'before' their beautiful restyle:

Thank you so much for sharing this with us Janice - you did a great job!!

Here's a fun project! Last up this week are some restyled wooden walls by Tara. We've had lots of customers finding out just how awesome our Miss Mustard Seed's milk paint is while they tackle home decor and cottage living projects over the summer and this is a great example!

TarasWallAfterCurioTrophyFarmhouse.jpg

Applying a few varying colours of milk paint with a wash effect over her walls has created a beautiful, and completely on trend, barn board look for her room. Fantastic job Tara - thank you for sharing with us!

And don't forget everyone - if you are featured on our Wednesday blog you we will have a 10% discount waiting for you at the studio (valid for 30 days)!
