What'cha Workin' on Wednesday?!?

Happy Wednesday friends!

How was your long weekend?!? Did you get any painting done, lol??

Let's take a look at what'cha been workin' on, shall we?

First up this week is a cute console table restyled by Debbie:

This table was painted with van Gogh furniture paint in 'River Tides', a beautiful soft blue that now adds a nice hit of colour to the hallway.

Debbie was so excited to start this project that she almost forgot to snap a 'before' picture. Don't worry Debbie - this happens to me all the time, lol! I just get so anxious to start a project that I completely forget to pick up my camera before jumping in! Ok, whose kidding who, I use my phone for 95% of the pictures I take . . . when did that happen? When did our phones replace our cameras? I would be so lost without my phone . . . .

Oops! Sidetracked there a moment, haha! Here is a peak at Debbie's 'almost before' picture:

I love the colour you chose Debbie! It's always fun to introduce a bit of colour on a smaller piece - thanks so much for sharing!

Next up this week is a unique little antique cabinet restyled by Sue.  Using van Gogh's 'Zeppelin' - a grey that really looks great on everything!

I like that Sue kept the top a natural wood finish - even I believe that you don't have to paint everything, lol! Love the new hardware you chose from our studio as well Sue!

Here's a look at the cabinet 'before'. It was an interesting little cabinet with loads of charm, but a little rough around the edges . . . nothing some paint and TLC cant fix!

Great job Sue! Thank you for sharing!

Speaking of Zeppelin grey and natural wood tops . . . check out these adorable end tables restyled by Elizabeth!

Just fantastic! Thanks for sharing Elizabeth! Keep up the great work!

What'cha Workin' on Wednesday?!?

You know what day it is? It's share day! Let's take a look at what'cha been workin' on . . .

First up this week are these two adorable tables that got a classy restyle by Christine. These tables had cute character before they were painted, but after some van Gogh chalk based paint in 'Revenge' they look amazing! I love the colour, the distressing and the choice to leave some of the wood natural - great work Christine! Thank you so much for sharing!

And here are the tables 'before' they're gorgeous restyle . . .

This next restyle is a little softer and a little sweeter. . . Take a look at the pretty in pink bedside table that Andrea restyled using van Gogh's 'Compassion'. Such a pretty pastel shade. I'm loving the painted hardware too! Thank you for sharing Andrea!

A glimpse of the much darker bedside table 'before' . . .

Last up, but certainly not least, is a very inspiring dining set restyle done by Lindsay. Fusion mineral paint in eye catching blue/green 'Laurentien' on the table and classic white 'Casement' on the chairs make this set easy, breezy and beautiful for the cottage. I love a good pop of colour in any room, nicely done Lindsay! Thank you for sharing!

A secretary - Muse, and Starry Night end tables.

Hello!

It's been a while since I completed these projects so it's about time I share! First up is an old secretary desk in need of a restyle and brought to me by a customer for just that reason.  These sweet customers are no strangers to having their furniture custom restyled by Mango Reclaimed - you may recall a post about their restyled sewing table here.

When they brought their desk in, it looked something like this:

Great lines and good bones but a little banged up and a bit too dark. Actually, in the above picture we had already removed the hardware, sanded down the finish in preparation for painting and even did some minor repairs - such as reattaching a broken leg and adding a new trim piece around the bottom.

Muse was the colour choice for this desk to give it a lighter and brighter feel.  Muse is one of those colours that just looks great on everything. It's light and bright and almost a neutral - with a subtle and refreshing green undertone. Using van Gogh Fossil paint to paint out the desk along with some mild distressing helped to hide a lot of the small imperfections . . . .

The original hardware was pretty fantastic so we kept it just as it was. Beautiful!

While we're here, I also want to share with you some van Gogh painted end tables. These were done in a combination of Starry Night and Chivalry, and I just adore the little navy knobs. One of these tables was completed as a custom order and the other is available for purchase in the studio. If you're interested, contact us.

Thanks for tuning in! If you have questions about anything we do here at Mango Reclaimed we would love to hear from you!

We also teach workshops! Learn how to restyle your own furniture by taking one of our fun and inspiring classes. Check out our workshop schedule and register for a class here.
