What'cha Workin' on Wednesday?!?

Hi there!

Happy Wednesday!

For those of you with little ones that have gone back to school . . . congratulations! You've finally got some time to paint that project you've been thinking about, lol! Oooh and fall is in the air - there's nothing like the pang of September and a slight crispness in the air that  gets me itching for a new creative project! How about you??

For those of you lucky enough to carve out some time over the summer to refresh your furniture, let's take a look at what'cha been workin' on, shall we?!?

First up this week is a beautiful kitchen set that Lynne restyled. van Gogh Fossil paint in 'Zeppelin' grey looks great on this set, don't you think?

Normally I'm not a big advocate of painting the chair frames and leaving the seats natural - with one exception . . .when the seats are a nice rattan like this. Great choice Lynne! I would have done the same thing - and the warmth of the natural rattan can now really be appreciated!

Here is a look at Lynne's kitchen set 'before':

Beautiful work Lynne - thanks for sharing with us!

Next up this week is a sweet dresser restyled using Fusion Mineral paint in 'Champlain' by Sherri Ann! Wow this turned out fantastic! The top sanded out and re-stained looks incredible and the new hardware looks great too!

Here is a look at Sherri Ann's dresser 'before', as you can see it was in serious need of a restyle!

Beautiful work Sherri Ann - thank you so much for sharing your project with us!

Last up this week, but never least is a super creative project by Rise! This beautiful and completely unique hall table was created using table legs picked up from the 'as is' inventory in our studio. Sometimes a small or unique space calls for a creative solution and Rise did a fantastic job with this one! Once her table was assembled (with a new top added), she painted the whole thing out in van Gogh's 'Cashmere' for a uniform and soft look. Stunning!

Here's the part you won't believe - the before picture. These legs were originally for a much larger dining table, but in the end they make the perfect pretty base to a custom made and painted hall console table. I love it!

Thank you so much for sharing with us Rise! Such a beautiful project - so happy that you stuck with your vision!

Thank you so much to everyone for sending in their pictures! Can't wait to see what you do next!

And don't forget - if you are featured on our Wednesday blog you we will have a 10% discount waiting for you at the studio (valid for 30 days)! We don't always get to share pictures in the week that they are sent in, but we do hang on to them and try to share as many as we can because we love seeing your projects! It's so easy! Happy painting!

What'cha Workin' on Wednesday?!?

Hi there friends!

It's that time of the week again - my favourite day to share all the great projects you have been working on! I think we should just go ahead and call this weeks post: 'kitchen makeover Wednesday' - boy do we have some great restyles to show you this week!

First up this week is a kitchenette restyled by Danaka. Can I let you in on a secret? Danaka has never used our paints before! After visiting our studio for some tips and advice, she picked up a can of Billowing Sails from our van Gogh paint line to try her hand at restyling a hall table. . . .

well my friends, the project looked so great when she was done that she carried on to paint her kitchen table and chairs! Have a look:

This set looks beautiful! I can't believe Danaka was a first timer! I'm so glad she had faith in herself to tackle these projects! Let's have a look at her table and chairs 'before':

It's a cute set, but painting out the wood in Billowing Sails just completely lightened and brightened her whole space! Great job Danaka - thank you so much for sharing with us!

Oh! And let's have a look at the sweet hall table that was truly her first project:

Can you believe she painted all of these pieces with just one can of van Gogh paint??

Proud of you Danaka and thankful that you shared with us! Your discount is waiting :)

Next up this week Joy did a fantastic job transforming this little dining set! She used Fusion Mineral paint in Homestead blue on the chairs and a soft white for the table! New bold and colourful fabric on the seats really pulls the look together! Great job Joy - thank you so much for sharing!

I really love that rich colour on those chairs!

Here's a look at Joy's chairs 'before', they were cute - but dated. The new look is fantastic!

Thanks again for sharing Joy - your discount is waiting!

Next up this week is a project that Laura completed a little while ago. She also used Fusion Mineral paint to transform a kitchen set. How beautiful is this table and chairs all restyled in Champlain??

Great job Laura - thanks for sharing with us!

Let's have a quick look at her table and chairs 'before':

The whole kitchen set looks so much fresher with this soft white added to the mix!

Beautiful work!

OMG the sun is shining and it feels almost like summer outside!!!

Wooh Hooh!! How nice is that?!

Sunshine and warm weather just makes me want to freshen things up with paint, lol, is that just me?? We have some AMAZING restyles to share with you this week! Let's take a look at what'cha been workin' on, shall we?

First up this week is a beautiful, restyled, piano!!! . . . . (why do I feel like Bob Barker, lol?)

That's right my friends, you can just go ahead and paint your piano! Shelby did it and so can you! Doesn't this look great?!? Shelby use 'Patina' from our van Gogh paint line to give this piece a beautiful new look!

We have done a couple piano's at the studio over the years and we have one in the queue that we are working on right now too! So this customer restyle came up at just the right time - so glad we can share it with you! Thanks for sharing your project with us Shelby!

Here's a look at the piano 'before', can you believe this was a Kijiji find?

Next up this week is  another gorgeous restyle - this one using our Fusion Mineral paint line. Tracy is no stranger to restyling furniture and has been featured on our blog a few times already - but this one is just. absolutely. stunning!

Check out Tracy's beautiful restyled buffet using 'Champlain':

Beautiful! Great styling too! Love the 'Spring is in the air' chalkboard! Did you know you can make chalkboards using the paint lines we carry?!? We do it all the time in the studio - next time your in, ask us how :)

Thank you so much for sharing this Tracy - it looks fantastic! Can't wait to see what you do next!

Here is a look at Tracy's buffet 'before':

Next up this week is an awesome bathroom refresh by Monika . . . I can't believe I haven't shared this yet!! Monika used 'van Gogh' blue from our van Gogh paint line to give this refreshed bathroom a beautiful pop of colour and I just LOVE it!

We don't have any 'before' pictures of this one, but Monika says the vanity was a dark brown basic one from Home Depot and the 'flush' sign she custom made. Awesome! The blue really adds a pretty punch to the room . . .and don't even get me started on how much I love the floor tile!

Great job Monika - thanks for sharing!!

Thank you so much to everyone for sending in their pictures! Can't wait to see what you do next!
