What'cha Workin' on Wednesday?!?

Hi there friends!

How is your week going??

Shhhhh - I'm going to let you in on a secret . . . we're going to be having a pretty serious black friday sale this weekend on loads of 'as is' furniture at the studio! So if you're looking for a project or need a little something to get your creative juices flowing, be sure to visit us on Friday or Saturday this weekend! (more details to come)!

For now, lets take a look at what'cha been workin' on, shall we?!?

First up this week is a dining hutch painted by Kathy using our Fusion Mineral paint in 'Cranberry'.  Kathy joined us this past weekend for our first ever Holiday Maker's Day workshop - she spent a super fun Saturday painting and creating with us and went home with 4 beautiful holiday projects! We have a few spaces left in our upcoming workshops if you would like to join us - last chance before the holidays! Click here to see our schedule.

Back to Kathy's cabinet - Cranberry is such a great colour on this! Especially this time of year! Looks beautiful Kathy - nice job!

Here is a picture of Kathy's cabinet 'before'. . . I love how painting the inside of a cabinet in a lighter colour brightens the whole piece - and really lets you showcase your pretty display items!

Great job Kathy - thank you for sharing with us!

Next up this week are some great end tables painted by Colin. Colin used our van Gogh Fossil paint on these. All of them were painted in 'Chalk' white. The set of two tables with the shell details had an antique glaze applied and the hex shaped table had a natural and antique beeswax applied. Two great ways to really add some depth and beauty to the details of your painted pieces! Stop by our studio and we can show you how!

Here is a look at Colin's tables 'before' . . . quite dark and dated and as you can see they were definitely in need of a new look!

Great job (as always) Colin! Thank you so much for sharing with us!

Last up but certainly not least is a dresser restyled by Stephen. Stephen picked up this dresser 'as is' from our studio recently. He took it home and gave it a whole new look using our van Gogh Fossil paint in Pyjama Weather with a soft black beeswax finish - looks great Stephen!

Here is a look at his 'before' and 'after:

And don't forget - if you are featured on our Wednesday blog you we will have a 10% discount waiting for you at the studio (valid for 30 days)! We don't always get to share pictures in the week that they are sent in, but we do hang on to them and try to share as many as we can because we love seeing your projects! It's so easy! All you have to do is e-mail your before and after pictures (or even just after pictures if that's all you have, lol) to: [email protected]

Happy Wednesday!

Sharing is caring :)

Let's take a look at what'cha been workin' on, shall we?!?

First up this week are two stunning side tables restyled by Heather. Take a look at these beauties!

Heather used our van Gogh furniture paint line to completely transform these two tables. 'Revenge' on the top and a custom mix of 'Revenge' and 'Chalk' on the bottom. The bottom was finished with natural and french caffeine beeswax for a really rich look.

Here's a look at heathers tables 'before':

Great job Heather - thank you for sharing with us!

Next up this week is a pretty armoire restyled by Kelly.

Kelly used Fusion mineral paint in a custom mix that she made using Bayberry and Bedford to give her armoire a whole new look:

Here is a look at Kelly's armoire 'before':

With some leftover paint Kelly headed outside and painted up this cute wooden crate! I love that - looks great Kelly! Thanks for sharing!

Sarah's cabinet got a restyle using our Fusion Mineral paint in 'Ash'. It was a big project but worth the effort because it turned out great!

So much more elegant looking in that great colour - and the original hardware looks great on the painted finish too! Great job Sarah - thank you for sharing with us!

What'cha Workin' on Wednesday?!?

Happy Wednesday friends!

Can you believe May is almost over?!? What the heck? Where are the days going? We will be posting some fun workshops for the month of June soon - so stay tuned for those :)

Let's take a look at what'cha been workin' on, shall we?!?

First up this week, Anne gave this dresser a quick and fresh restyle using 'Patina' from our van Gogh paint line. A bit of heavy distressing and this piece is cottage cool - looks great Anne!

I love the mix of old and new here with the distressed paint and the new crystal hardware!

Here's a glimpse at Anne's dresser 'before':

Thanks for sharing Anne! What a great transformation! (Your discount is waiting!)

Next up this week is a beautiful restyled buffet. Janice used 'Chalk' from our van Gogh paint line to brighten up this little number . . .

This looks great Janice! Did you also paint the original hardware? We do that on quite a few pieces at the studio, sometimes it just need a little refresh to bring it back to life. Thank you for sharing! (Your discount is waiting!)

Here is a look at Janice's cabinet 'before':

Last up this week but certainly not least is this beautiful jam cuppboard restyled by Sherri Ann using 'Cranberry' from our Fusion paint line - and it looks fantastic!

Check out that cute rustic hand made sign on top too! Sherri Ann made that sign at one of our Fusion workshops and also gained the confidence to go home and tackle bigger projects - like this great looking cupboard!

The black finishing wax really enriches the look of this piece and she even painted out the inside!

Nice job Sherri Ann  - thanks for sharing! (Your discount is waiting!)

Thank you so much to everyone for sending in their pictures! Can't wait to see what you do next!

What'cha Workin' on Wednesday?!?

Happy Wednesday!

We are working our little tails off a the studio right now - so many exciting projects coming together because I am super mega excited for our grand re-opening celebration coming up on May 6th! There is nothing like a deadline to kick my internal pinterest dreams into high gear reality!

I hope you can stop into the studio on the 6th to celebrate with us - we have lots of ways we plan on showing you just how much we appreciate you!

For now though - let's take a look at what'cha been workin' on, shall we?!?

This week were showcasing the painting skills of two awesome photographers that we are so lucky to have as customers!

First up this week with a major colour pop is a bedroom restyled by Laurel of Laurel Leaf Photography. Laurel has a big beautiful personality and originally had a softer vision for her daughter Cielle's room - but Cielle had colour ideas of her own . . . what an amazing mom to just go for it! I mean, how crazy good does this room look?

Wowzers!! The desk was restyled using 'Revenge' and the bed was restyled using 'Confidence' from our van Gogh paint line. Amazing Laurel - thanks so much for sharing with us!

Next up this week is an adorable cabinet restyled by Andrea of Trio Photography. Andrea wrote a great blog post about how she restyled this cabinet to store a collection of vintage items, especially a collection of salt and pepper shakers passed down from her grandfather - don't you just love that?? If you want to read her post and see more pictures of this great cabinet, you can check it out here

This cutie cabinet was restyled with 'chalk' from our van Gogh paint line . . . and some serious modge podge! Love it! Thanks so much for sharing your creativity with us Andrea!

Oh, while were gushing, let's remember that Andrea is no stranger to modge podge restyling projects - you might remember her Calvin and Hobbes inspired dresser with 'And Your Little Dog Too' van Gogh paint from a while back . . .

So awesome!

Thank you so much to everyone for sending in their pictures! Can't wait to see what you do next!

And don't forget - if you are featured on our Wednesday blog you we will have a 10% discount waiting for you at the studio (valid for 30 days)! It's so easy you guys! All you have to do is e-mail your before and after pictures to: [email protected]

Oh! And wait just a second! Incase you haven't seen this yet:

We. Can't. Wait!
