The soft Stirling grey looks great on this piece and I love that Wrai has kept the top natural on this one! Below is the 'before' picture. Thanks for sharing Wrai! Your 10% discount is waiting for you!

Next up this week is a pretty dresser restyled by Marie! This dresser was Marie's first attempt at restyling and I think she did a great job! She used Morning Mist from our van Gogh paint line and then she applied antique wax over the entire project to really enhance all of the beautiful details on this dresser. Great job Marie - thank you for sharing! Your 10% discount is waiting for you!

Last up this week but never least is this dresser restyle done by Lina. A dresser that was once drab and dated looks fresh and modern with some paint and new hardware! Great transformation Lina - thank you for sharing! Your 10% discount is waiting for you!

What'cha Workin' on Wednesday?!?

Happy Wednesday Friends!

Let's take a look at what'cha been workin' on . . .

Joss restyled this buffet, new paint, new hardware and a natural wood top - beautiful!

With a 3yr old and a 3 month old at home it's amazing she can get anything done! That's what makes this buffet restyle even more impressive! Way to go moms!! Thanks for sharing this Joss, it looks great!

Can you believe that during nap time Joss also got these two projects under her belt?! (cute painted shelf and mirror)

Thanks again for sharing Joss!

Next up, check out Christine's restyled chair painted in van Gogh's beautiful and vibrant 'Coral Cosmo'! I really love a pop of coral, and I'm actually considering painting out my dining room chairs in our new coral 'Flamango'. What do you think? Should I go for it??

Thanks for sharing Christine - I LOVE it!

I think most of you probably already know how boring this chair looked before this awesome colour, but just in case you can't picture it, let's have a look at the 'before':

Thanks so much for sharing Christine!

Just for fun, lets look at one more brightly restyled piece. This sweet little bookshelf was restyled by Elizabeth using van Gogh's 'Dreams of Provence' - a great purple for any girls room!

Very Cute! Thanks so much for sharing Elizabeth!

As always, thank YOU for sharing your projects with me - I love showing off all your hard work and creativity!

What'cha Workin' on Wednesday?!?

It's Wednesday . . .

Can you believe it's mid September already?!?

If this leaves you feeling a little blue . . . take a look at these beautifully blue restyled pieces to give you a little pick me up. Ba dum bum - I'll be here all week folks, lol.

First up this week is Elizabeth's dresser beautifully restyled in van Gogh's River Tides with an undercoat of Morning Mist.

Here's a close up showing how Elizabeth's gentle distressing brings out the soft white Morning Mist from underneath. Great job Elizabeth - thank you for sharing!

and here's a peak at Elizabeth's dresser and mirror 'before'  . . .

Next up this week is Krystie's coffee table. It looks great restyled in Miss Mustard Seed's rich Artissimo blue. I love how the top was kept natural . . . looks like kitty likes the restyled table too!

Thanks for sharing Krystie!

Another fairly recent restyle using Artissimo is this sweet little bookshelf restyled by Andrea. Again I love the top kept in the original natural wood - and the addition of the wooden drawer/basket looks so cute in the bottom shelf! Nice work Andrea - thank you for sharing!

Here's a look at the shelf before it was restyled - this piece was actually purchased as a paint project from our inventory by Andrea this past summer:

This sweet little bedside table was also restyled over the summer. This one was done by Erin using Fusion's Inglenook - another watery blue/green colour that looks beautiful on almost anything! The second picture shows how great it looks with the rest of the room - beautiful! Thanks for sharing Erin!

As always, thank YOU for sharing your projects with me - I love showing off all your hard work and creativity!

A restyled secretary - for shelter!

If you haven't already - you should mark your calendar! This Saturday (May 9th) Royal LePage is hosting a 'Garage Sale for Shelter' at 200 Dundas St. East in Whitby. 100% of the revenue from this sale will go to support local women's shelters and violence prevention programs.

I got in on the action and restyled this beautiful secretary desk for the sale.

This desk was in fairly rough shape when it was donated to the sale, but it had some good bones so I gladly accepted the challenge to restyle it in an effort to raise the value for charity.

Here's a few shots from when the desk was dropped off at the studio. You can see some of the marks and scratches on the desk (including two broken front legs), and a glimpse at the inside . . .

I wanted to use Fusion Mineral Paint to restyle this desk because I had been looking for an excuse to use the beautiful Laurentien colour and this was the perfect opportunity! In preparation to paint the desk, it was sanded overall to remove the existing varnish as well as smooth out some of the scratches and dents.

Here she is ready to paint {decorative front legs are still missing, but don't worry, we added them on before painting}:

One of the great things about Fusion paint is that for most projects your don't require a primer or a top coat! {awesome, right?!} Ok, here she is again all finished in gorgeous Laurentien:

Don't you just love the brassy golden hardware??

Oooh! Let's not forget the inside - painted in beautiful Bedford!

Incase your not convinced yet, here  are a few detail shots to really showcase her charms :)

This sweet secretary desk will be available for sale this Saturday at the Royal LePage 'garage sale for shelter' along with tons of other great treasures so be sure to stop by! It's going to be a great day of fundraising for a great local cause!
